Terms of Service

Effective date: August 10, 2026

These Terms govern your use of monies: the Telegram bot @sgmoniesbot and the mini app at app.monies.sg, provided by monies ("we", "our" or "us"). By using monies, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

What monies does

monies reads the bank and card statement PDFs you send it, extracts your transactions, helps you categorise them, and shows you your runway: how many months your savings could cover your spending. It is built for statements from Singapore banks and card issuers.

Your account

monies works through your Telegram account. There is no separate registration. You are responsible for keeping your Telegram account secure and for everything done with it in monies. Tell us at hello@monies.sg if you believe someone else has used your account.

Free tier and payment

  • Your first 3 uploaded statement files are free. A file that monies cannot read does not count.
  • After that, continued use requires a one-time payment of $59 (Singapore dollars). This gives you lifetime access: no subscription, no renewal, for as long as monies operates.
  • Payments are processed by Stripe. Your card details go to Stripe directly and are subject to Stripe's terms and privacy policy.
  • Payments are not refundable, except where the law requires it.

Acceptable use

You agree to:

  • upload only your own statements, or statements you are authorised to upload,
  • use monies only for lawful purposes,
  • not attempt to break, overload, reverse engineer or gain unauthorised access to the service,
  • not upload files designed to harm the service.

Your data

Your financial data is yours. You grant us a limited licence to process it only to provide the service. Statement files are read in memory and never stored; the transactions extracted from them are stored so the app can work. Our Privacy Policy explains this in full.

You are responsible for the accuracy of what you upload and for keeping your own copies of your statements.

Not financial advice

monies is a tool for organising your own financial data. It does not provide financial, investment, tax or legal advice. Parsed numbers can contain errors, so check the figures before making decisions based on them, and consult a qualified professional where it matters.

Availability and changes to the service

We work to keep monies available but cannot promise uninterrupted access. We may change, add or remove features, and we may discontinue the service. We will give reasonable notice of material changes through the bot. monies also depends on third-party services such as Telegram, Stripe and cloud hosting, and we are not responsible for their outages or changes.

Disclaimers and liability

monies is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, including accuracy, completeness or fitness for a particular purpose. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, and our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid for monies. You agree to hold us harmless from claims arising from your breach of these Terms or your unlawful use of the service.

Termination

You may stop using monies at any time, and you may ask us to delete your data at hello@monies.sg. We may suspend or end your access if you break these Terms or if the law requires it. Sections of these Terms that by their nature should survive (such as limitations of liability) survive termination.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Singapore, and disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Singapore courts. We comply with the Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA).

Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The effective date at the top shows when they last changed. If a change is material, we will tell you through the bot. Using monies after a change means you accept the updated Terms.

Miscellaneous

These Terms and the Privacy Policy are the entire agreement between you and monies. If part of these Terms is found unenforceable, the rest still applies. If we do not enforce a provision, that is not a waiver of it.
